Tungsten Carbide Wear Coating

Tungsten Carbide Wear Coating

Tungsten Carbide coatings are the industry benchmark for severe wear protection. Applied by HVOF (High Velocity Oxy-Fuel), carbide particles are propelled at supersonic speed onto the component, forming a dense, metallurgically bonded layer with hardness far beyond hardened steel or hard chrome plating. The coating resists abrasion, erosion, and galling while preserving the base material’s toughness — allowing worn components to be restored and returned to service with a surface that outlasts the original.

Extreme-hardness tungsten carbide coatings applied by HVOF for components punished by abrasion, erosion, and sliding wear. Field-proven on screw conveyors, rewinder rolls, pump casings, shaft sleeves, and valve internals — multiplying service life where hard chrome and weld overlays fall short.
